The RoseCraft Blades Mill Creek Cotton Sampler Red Sandalwood features a 3″ D2 cotton sampler blade with a brushed satin finish. It’s 2.7mm thick with heavy swedging and a half stop. This one-bladed traditional slip joint is the first RoseCraft traditional to feature the new “Rose Bomb” shield. It has brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, and nickel silver pins. The covers are genuine Red Sandalwood. It’s 3.9″ closed, 6.9″ overall, and weighs 3oz. Inspired by traditional cotton sampler patterns and re-imagined by Andy Armstrong.
A note about RoseCraft’s wood handles: Wood is a natural material with natural grain. No two knives are the same, and while your knife will fall into the family of the variation shown, it will be different.
Mark Kiger –
This is my first cotton sampler style traditional. I have been looking at them for some time and always thought of this design as a bit of a novelty in these days as this is definitely a throwback. When RoseCraft Blades dropped this one I was on board immediately simply because it was a RCB and I grab all the drops as soon as they are available. Regardless of the utility or lack thereof, I am really enjoying this knife. There really is utility and the knife is fun to use, especially when you consider the history of the design. The best part is the fit and finish of all the RCB knives. All of mine reflect a quality level that far exceeds the price. My collection would not be complete without this model.
