The RoseCraft Blades Ocoee River Kayak features a 2.33″ D2 K-Clip Blade with a brushed satin finish. It’s 2.7mm thick with a half stop. This one-bladed traditional slip joint features brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, and a steel RoseBud shield. The covers are split red resin and burl wood. The Ocoee River is based on an original “Kayak” pattern designed by Andy Armstrong. It’s a swell-center canoe with very different blade styles than you’d find on canoe pattern. This one-bladed version is also a “bare-head” because it has only lead bolsters.

Ocee River Kayak in red resin and burl wood is gorgeous, pictures do not due it justice. I purchased it because I like the size of the blade and the angle of the handle. The fit and finish was FLAWLESS. The blade came working sharp but I used the Sharpmaker at 20 degrees and it sliced through phone book paper without tearing. Rosecraft is getting a reputation for TOP quality slip joint knives and well deserved! Mine was on sale and it is the best $49.99 I have spent on any knife. I have custom knives at 10 times the cost of this and honesty, there is very little difference except in the blade steel, but I do like D2 that has been heat treated correctly and mine has been done right.
I ordered , they notified me and the USPS kept me abreast of the stages of delivery. Excellent service from Rosecraft and the USPS. I recommend this company without any reservations. Do yourself a favor and give them a look and a buy.
