Just received my knife in the mail today. Immediately opened the box,(Wonderful shipping by the way.) Your knife boxes are a thing of beauty, and very easy to open. And the PRIZE inside was the very wonderful looking Red& Black Castorea knife. The knife has wonderful fit & finish with a very smooth blade action. Which ever way you want to open this knife it’s just buttery smooth. The blade was sharp, with a nice belly. Handles were beautiful with just enough grippage to keep your hand in place. And the pocket clip will definitely keep this knife in your pocket no matter what you are doing. All together a great knife with a lot of Quality that belies the Price. Also shipping was extremely fast, ordered Sunday got it on Wednesday. FANTASTIC!

First, let me say, as a new customer, the first Castoria was missing a t6 screw at the butt-end of the knife on the scales. I alerted Rosecraft and within 10 minutes another Castoria was on its way to my door. That’s good business practice. My first impression was that this knife is bigger and heftier than I imagined it would be. Which is a nice surprise. The fit and finish are good. The lock-up is solid. Blade alignment was slightly to one side. I was able to adjust the pivot screw, and now it’s dead center. The Zulu/spear point like blade did not come very sharp, which I will tend to. A bold swedge gives this blade an attractive appearance. The grind and finish on the flats is flawless. The sharpening grind is even, with a bit of a smallish choil. The knife has a left or right tip up pocket clip. The clip is a bit on the small side, as well as really tight. I might look for a different clip or manually adjust it myself. Bottom Line, This is an under $40 knife. There are a good many things that would improve this knife, but that, in all fairness, should properly drive the cost up. Some of these improvements I may do myself, because I like this knife as an EDC. 4 solid stars. Thanks to Andy for prompt service. RoseCraft knives is clearly on to something. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

UPDATE: Pocket clip is almost unusable as it comes from the factory. I’m going to try to adjust it b removing it and place it in a vice to bend it into a functional clip. Still 4 stars, but this needs attention.

I’ve had this beautiful barlow for a few months now. Just carved some jimping into the flipper tap which makes it a five star knife. Love the shape and size. I think Rosecraft could make this knife extraordinary by 1. Jimp the flipper. 2. Titanium frame and bolster. 3. Put on beautiful carbon fiber scales of some sort. 4. Ball bearings for better action. 5. Eliminate the ugly show side clip screw holes and indent. 6 Titanium clip. That would be something. Nevertheless it is now a very good knife for the $$.
