RoseCraft Blades Ocoee River Kayak RCT009

$53.99

This pattern style (red apple bone) has been moved to the RoseCraft Vault. It is no longer available.

2.33″ D2 K-Clip Blade. Brushed satin finish. 2.7mm thick. Half stop. Slip joint. Brushed steel bolsters. Steel liners. Steel RoseBud shield. Genuine Red Apple Bone covers. 3.625″ closed. 5.9″ open. Weighs 2.9oz. Designed by Andy Armstrong

The Ocoee River is based on an original “Kayak” pattern designed by Andy Armstrong. It’s a swell-center canoe with very different blade styles than you’d find on canoe pattern. This one-bladed version is also a “bare-head” because it has only lead bolsters.

A note about RoseCraft’s bone handles: Bone is a natural handle material that varies in texture, pattern, and natural coloring. Every bone handled knife will look different, because bone isn’t identical. At RoseCraft, we don’t use dye to cover up what we think is the natural beauty of the bone in the handle. We use it to accentuate that natural beauty, and you’re going to see a lot of that gorgeous natural texture and pattern that is in your unique bone-handled knife. We love it, and hope you do too.

My RCT009 Ocee River Kayak arrived in the mail today. It is by far the most beautiful pocket knife that I have ever seen. The fit and finish is superb. Nothing that I’ve seen on the internet, including your website gave me any indication of how beautiful it actually is. The feel in my hand gives me the same pleasure that my eyes experience when I look at it. The colour of the handles is astounding. Wow! I don’t know what else to say about this knife, just Wow!

    You made my day,
    A. (from Canada)

    Absolutely FANTASTIC!
I love what Andy and Swaggs and the crew is doing at RCB and I’m a fan and a loyal customer for life.

I think the modern interpretations of traditional patterns are awesome.
But I also love that the covers are bone, rather than burlap micarta or G-10, because it’s a traditional cover material.
A perfect balance of traditional and modern in my opinion.

I have the Ocoee River Kayak, Zambezi, Loosahatchie Jack, and Beaver Creek Barlow.
I will be purchasing the upcoming Clinch River Swayback and all the other designs as well.

Fit and finish is exceptional on all of them.
    No gaps.
    No proud pins or shields.
    Smooth transitions.
    Great medium pull.
    Walk and talk is awesome.
    Excellent blade grind and finish.
    Wonderful ergonomics.
Just wonderfully crafted all the way around.

    Fantastic value for the money.
I can’t say enough about RoseCraft Blades.
Buy one, or buy them all.
    Do it now.
    You’ll be glad you did!!

I’ve now purchased 2 of the Ocoee River Kayak knives. The knife is so well made. It is very durable, sharpe and the action is smooth. It’s a great pocket knife and one I carry every day.

I’ve had this permanently in my fifth pocket on a foot-long lanyard to my front belt loop for the last 5 weeks and I’ve used it just about every day. It genuinely brings me greater satisfaction than any of my other knives, modern or traditional.

It’d be great if the traditional designs could be ordered with optional lanyard holes e.g. French Broad Jack, Beaver Creek Barlow <– hint : )

    Keep up the amazing work!
