Zambezi is the South African name for a Bull Shark.
Note: Bone is a natural material and each handle will hold dye differently. While your knife will look similar to the knife in the images, it will vary based on the makeup of the genuine bone in your knife.

This is a very unique knife and feels great in hand. I know it seems like it would be small, but the finger choil really gives you the ability to get a full, strong three finger group. The bone looks amazing too.

First impressions on the Zambezi
Smaller in hand than I thought it was going to be from the pics online and for its size a bit heavier than I was expecting. However, the trade off to the weight is that it is built like a tank and grips nicely.
For the fit and finish, the only word I can think of that describes it best is: immaculate. The fit and finish is way way above the cost point on it and after feeling very closely along the spine, scale to bolster joins and the rivets: my complaint list is empty.
Walk and talk: almost too stiff. I am going to oil it and hopefully it loosens up a bit over time, but this is by far preferable to the alternative.
Feel in hand: I really liked the choil design of the pocket monster and with my medium/large hands this one fits perfectly. When using the choil the knife locks in place in your hand and and is very secure. When I first saw it in person I thought the blade length was going to be too short but as soon as you use the choil the blade design and length clicks in that its a precision cutting machine and you have alot of control with almost zero chance of fumbling the knife while cutting.
Cutting edge: it’s not bad out of the box but I will probably end up putting it on the wicked edge to get it a bit sharper and then upkeep on a strop. For the time being I am going to strop it and we shall see how the factory edge holds up to common household tasks.
So – definitely worth the cost and more, fit and finish are way above the price point. My only complaint so far is it’s a bit stiff out of the box but that should loosen up a bit over time and is by far preferable to it being too loose out of the box. Another winning design by RoseCraft Blades. Now if we could just get a medium stockman…

Had the Zambezi for a few days now, really love the shape and the enlarged finger choil, fit and finish is perfect, nothing I can find at all, only thing I’d say is the blade grind is a high degree one maybe 20-22 degrees, I’ve re profiled mine to 17 degrees and it’s a slicing machine

This thing is a solid blade. It completely exceeded my expectations. The fit and finish is right up there with some of the most premier traditional knife manufacturers. This was my 1st rosecraft and I can guarantee you it won’t be my last.

I’ve carried this one for a couple of days now and it just perfect for my daily use. The build quality is top notch as always and it looks really good too.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!
I love what Andy and Swaggs and the crew is doing at RCB and I’m a fan and a loyal customer for life.
I think the modern interpretations of traditional patterns are awesome.
But I also love that the covers are bone, rather than burlap micarta or G-10, because it’s a traditional cover material.
A perfect balance of traditional and modern in my opinion.
I have the Zambezi, Ocoee River Kayak, Loosahatchie Jack, and Beaver Creek Barlow.
I will be purchasing the upcoming Clinch River Swayback and all the other designs as well.
Fit and finish is exceptional on all of them.
No gaps.
No proud pins or shields.
Smooth transitions.
Great medium pull.
Walk and talk is awesome.

I can’t say enough about RoseCraft Blades.

Do it now.
You’ll be glad you did!!
